The below instructions are confirmed to be correct on my 1999 legacy sedan with ej22 ecu as of 07112013 please also note that all of this is with retaining the tcu as well the pigtail connector number t3 in the wiring diagram or at least the bottom 4 pins which are 9 10 11 and 12.
