While i cant help with your wiring questions on the everest i will say dont run your fridge or van battery charging through the 12 pin use anderson plugs from the start then you wont have to revisit the connection. Rotate the shaft 5 fully anti clockwise and fit the knob 6 to the shaft 5 with 0 pointing upwards as shown below.
