Sometimes the cables will cross. The chiltons manual which sucks said that there should be no continuity between the negative terminal on the coil and the body of the igniter. The igniter ignition control module has 5 wires coming out of its connector.

It will have 3 wires running into it from the harness 2 from the distributor and 1 spark plug wire. I just went through the ignition system and did the resistance checks that were listed.
