Shed Roof Diagram. This gambrel design is great for storage. This is the most common roof style for backyard sheds used for storage or gardening.
Then the roof truss members are simply inserted in the jig and the plywood gussets nailed into place. You can then work down the roof adding and joining roof panels to the baton on. An example of each is shown in figure 2 1.
For the shed roof pictured above the back has a 5 12 pitch.
Now its time for the fun bit. Cover the roofing sheets with tar paper. Your shed plans will identify the size of each member of the truss and how to set out the roof truss jig shown in the image below. Fit the trims to the front and back of the shed roof.
