Monocytes can develop into two types of cell. The monocyte is a spherical cell with prominent surface ruffles and blebs when examined by scanning electron microscopy. Numbers indicate the number of transcripts associated with each snp with the numbers inside the overlap indicating transcript associations which are shared across the two monocyte subsets and those outside the overlap indicating unique snp.
