The air enters the main windpipe called the trachea and continues en route to each lung via either the right or left bronchus pluralbronchi. The organs are roughly conical in shape and are divided by fissures into lobes. The bronchi lung roots visceral pleura and supporting lung tissues require an extra nutritive blood supply.
