Fitting a cigarette lighter has the further advantage of cutting down on the number of holes you need to drill into the dashboard or centre console to fit accessories since a number of different accessories can be run off the same lighter socket. Separately we will highlight the fuses responsible for the cigarette lighter. I have found the fuses at the bottom of the centre console. The fuse assignment may differ from that shown and depends on the year of manufacture and the equipment level.
