For the hard starting problem id say it might be the 1 way valve in your fuel line. The fuel tank is on the left side of the truck but the fuel pump is on the right side of the engine block. But people ive talked to say its probably a 6an fitting or 58s.
So here is my question in 1976 and before the fuel pumps just had a vent hole at the top for the diaphragm vent.
The starter motor should be allowed to cool for approx 60 seconds after each 15 second cranking period. I have a 1988 fuel injected dodge ramcharger with a 318 engine. John deere 318 fuel line routing. Apparently i have the original carter mechanical fuel pumps that came on the engines 34 years of service not bad decide to leak.
